Forgiveness & Sin

Mother Theresa once said, “The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved."
Everyone needs someone to watch over their soul.
Mk  2:3-5
And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

This forgiveness went deeper than mere domestic disputes. Jesus was speaking with a quiet authority which went down into the paralyzed man’s innermost being.
Forgiveness is the most powerful thing in the world, but because it is so costly.
We have to find ways of bringing healing and forgiveness to our

families & others.
 Matthew 6:15
  * But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.  Proof that the living God is at work. Within us! ..

"Real Faith is Faith That Carries Burdens"

Text- Mark 2 vs 1-5

Vs.3. "Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men."

\\ In this text a man who is paralyzed is brought before Jesus to be healed. The four men that carried him faced some obstacles to get this man healed but they were persistent and because of their faith this man was healed. Sometimes as Christians' we will face obstacles and our faith will be tested, will we find a way to reach Jesus no matter how impossible it may seem? These four men could have given up at the door when no one budged to make room for their friend. They could have stopped when Jesus didn't come out and meet them. Friend, being a Christian is more then God always moving for you, you're going to have to make some moves for Him. We need to not allow discouragement from people or from the circumstances of life keep us from reaching Jesus. When this man finally got before Jesus, he saw the faith from these men and the paralytic was immediately healed. They were UNSTOPPABLE! Let me ask you, do you have a unstoppable faith? Sometimes life will let you down, people will let you down, but you may be let down right at the feet of Jesus. Allow your faith to be BIGGER than your situation. \\

Sailing

It is so encouraging to know as believers that God is in control, thru the good and the bad!

Sometimes as we go thru things I think we forget we have this great big powerful God that has our situation in control. If we just accept our situations and let God be in control he will help us keep it all together.

As Christians we also have to lay down our pride and allow our brothers and sisters in Christ encourage us and help us thru our crisis. The bible over and over repeats how we need to help one another and be there for each other.

A great example for us to follow is Job. When all the pressure came down he held onto God and his promises. He didn't crumble or break, he didn't run away, he faced the problem head on with God on his side!

Hebrews 6:19 says " We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure..."; this is how we need to live. Hanging onto the anchor of hope in Christ Jesus!

God moving in Walthamstow...

Recently I did a marriage seminar at the church in Walthamstow, here is a letter from a member of their congregation; check out the photos section to see pictures from the seminar.

" As a member of The Walthamstow Potters House Church for 16 years and married for 12 years, we have always made it a habit to go to the seminars.
This is the second time as a couple that we have heard Pastor Mejia. We were so pleased; we knew how great he was last time so were really looking forward to the weekend. The first talk by Pastor Mejia would have been enough! His opening talk at the Gala dinner was amazing.....
The rest of the seminars were refreshing, inspirational, fun and full of great wisdom, from years of experience.
Thank you for allowing God to continually use your life to bless others."

One Cry Fits All

Psalm 40:1-2 " I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along."

What a great God we serve! There is no partial treatment, he is there for anyone who calls on his name.
It is a humbling factor of life, to ask others to help us, but sometimes we just can't do things on our own. We are not going to receive help if we don't ask for it. God is not a respecter of persons; there is no special way to ask for help, you simply just ask.
Remember one cry fits all, it needs no reason! Big or small, we all have needs that God can help us with. Don't be afraid to ask for help in our life! Trust that God is going to meet your needs according to his purpose and plan.
